Hallunicination patterns loomed by Huichol Indian weavers, late 20th century, at the request of Ronald K. Siegel, Mexican psychiatrist. Peyote and mescaline are used by the Huichol for entry into spirit realms. The patterns were found to be the same constants as seen in the art of mystics, migraine sufferers, epileptics, and schizophrenics as well as drug users, and are considered to be important clues to the brain's image processing systems. |
